a good book for any canner, new or experienced

I got this book a few years ago. I found it so good that I bought one this year for my grown daughter who is now starting to can. I find it very helpful and a lot of different things are covered. This would be a good book for anyone who is interested in caning, if they have canned for years and would just like some new ideas or if they are just starting out.

I have had this book for at least 3 years. It has a wonderful variety of easy to follow recipes for many different foods. It is my go-to book for canning.
My husband likes "Mom's apple pie", over ice cream. It is like eating pie ala mode and he can do it all year round.
I get close to 60 pounds of apples from my trees and the recipes here let me put them up easily with a good variety.

I also have the ball blue book. Together I have everything covered! This book however has more recipes that use pectin for making jams and jellies. Where as the Ball blue book has the same recipe and to use just sugar. This is why I only gave it 4 stars. I would have liked to see how to make a jam with both methods. A lot of times I don't have pectin on hand. I do have sugar on hand and if I need to I can always ask a neighbor for a cup. But to ask them for pectin is another story~ But none the less it is a must have book and I am very glad I got it!
