I have been growing herbs and using them for over 25 years. This is a wonderful reference book for my library. My mother loved it so much that she had to buy one also.

I took an herbal medicine class last spring, that recommended this book. Wonderful info and I look at my backyard and fields where I live in a different way. Amazing that what everyone including me called weeds, are very nutritious and healing. Also amazed at the different herbs and spices to add in our everyday meals to add healing and health.
I've made a few salves, oils, tinctures and cordials. Can't wait to do more for Christmas gifts.
I just bought 4 more books for gifts.

I'm an intermediate herbalist and love this book. It has wonderful photos, very complete information on each of the included herbs and great recipes and growing info. If you could only have a few herb books, this would be one of the ones I would recommend to get you started or for reference even after you're a bit more advanced.

I have several herb books, but this one has everything I need to
know and more within the book.
I hope to order copies for each of my grown children.

I was looking for an understandable book to use for a teacher workshop. Rosemary had it all and more. I needed to make lip balm and a salve or lotion. Now I can make the an infused oil so they can do it all themselves and not rely on commercially produced essential oil. A copy of this book is going into the resource trunk that teachers can check out and use in their classrooms!
