“What we all share in common…is the truth that forms the very core of this book: What we know matters, but who we are matters more,” writes Dr. Brené Brown, in Daring Greatly. She offers a powerful new vision that encourages us to embrace our vulnerability as a source of strength as we wholeheartedly engage in our lives.
Dr. Brown presents vulnerability, not as a weakness, but rather as our clearest path to courage and meaningful connection with the world. Every day we experience the uncertainty and emotional exposure that defines vulnerability—whether the challenge is a new relationship, an important meeting or our creative process, we must find the courage to embrace our vulnerability with our whole hearts.
Our journey of joining with life as who we really are is defined by feeling worthy of being loved and of loving, cultivating our feeling of worthiness by our daily choices and practices, and, with vulnerability as the catalyst, living a life defined by courage, engagement and a clear sense of purpose. Daring Greatly is an important step in this journey, helping us understand where we are right now, what we’re up against—and where we need to go.

Just finished this wonderful book this morning. This author has provided more insight on how I can move on from feeling alone and unwanted to being at peace and able to move forward with confidence than ANY weekly therapy session. Her words zero in on all our lives since she has interviewed so many regular people. Having read this book I feel more comfortable in my skin: A wonderful feeling.
